The use of Death Metal was severely restricted in most places and completely banned in others. People eventually became more civil and learnt how to live with each other in peace. In the late 20th century a group of historians sought to recreate the feel of the Dark Ages and medieval Death Metal through a new genre of music aptly named Death Metal. At first there was some scepticism over whether or not this genre would take off but the genre quickly gained popularity among masochists and those interested in history. Today it is not very difficult to catch a live performance of this Death Metal at which you will see several of these long-haired blackly clad people you speak of. Fans of Death Metal typically wear their hair long as most of the people of the Dark Ages had long hair. Since most of the metal in that period went towards making weapons there was very little left over for the production of barbers? scissors because of which people could not cut their hair.
