You couldn’t do that back then. You could only imagine that. What this game allows you to do is physicalize heavy metal music. You can do battle with this dramatic dangerous music as your score. It’s a real wish-fulfillment game for me. How is working in games different from in movies? Black: It’s exciting to me because it’s still relatively new. It’s an art form that hasn’t really reached its potential yet.

Black Label Society to hit New York in April

” What the group may lack in true musical talent and innovativeness they make up for in sheer attitude and fun with songs such as “Die Motherf*cker Die” and “Everything Sucks. ” The music is a bit juvenile but their heavy metal cover of 80’s hit “You Spin Me Right Round (Like A Record)” is a guaranteed crowd pleaser and frontman Dope Edsel always has something amusing to share with the audience. Black Label Society and their opening acts are not household names radio favorites or getting MTV airplay. But any true metal fan knows that Zakk Wylde and his band are the genuine heavyweight leaders in the world of hard rock and Hammerstein Ballroom is sure to be packed with the Black Label faithful come April 10th. And for those who may find that date inconvenient the tour will be playing at the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville NJ three days earlier on April 7th. While Starland is a genuine hassle to get to from New York City by car and nigh inaccessible by public transportation Sayreville is only a handful of Turnpike exits from Zakk Wylde’s birthplace of Bayone NJ and this hometown show will likely feature some surprises from northern New Jersey’s most badass musical legend.

Their fusion of technicality groove and sheer unrelenting brutality has been imitated but never quite duplicated. Milestone records such as “Effigy of the Forgotten” “Pierced from Within” “Despise the Sun” and soon to be classic self-titled record have influenced a wealth of today’s best musical talents. A Nuclear Blast representative commented: “It is an honor to announce that Nuclear Blast and SUFFOCATION are finally joining forces! Nuclear Blast is proud to welcome one of the most popular and important bands in death metal history and without a doubt the heaviest f#!@ing metal band ever come out of New York! This is a dream come true for the staff as well as we are all huge longtime SUFFOCATION fans. There’s no doubt that the band is one of the most influential bands ever as we hear their sound even in most of today’s ‘scene’ bands! We cannot express how happy we are as we’ve known the guys for some time now. We would like to thank them and their management for helping making this happen. The future looks bright! Stay tuned because 2009 will bring you ‘Blood Oath’. You’ve been warned!”SUFFOCATION released the following collective statement: “After 20 years of discovering the right and wrong relationships in our career we are proud to announce that Nuclear Blast will be our new record label for 2009 and home to SUFFOCATION.
Nichols trial: Clusters of people wait for jury’s decision
Atlanta Journal Constitution USA
The panel split 9-3 on Thursday and asked Judge James Bodiford if they could re-hear a tape recording of Nichols saying he’d kill again. “You just can’t read people” she said. In the hallway outside the courtroom Friday afternoon were only one spectator and four deputies assigned to staff the metal detector that screens those entering the courtroom. The jury was cloistered in a room behind the courtroom. Nichols’ parents Gene and Claritha Nichols also waited — reading talking or watching movies on a laptop computer — in an office set aside for their son’s defense team. And in an adjacent courtroom about 20 people who survived and loved Judge Barnes and Nichols’ other three murder victims talked and read and waited — hoping for a decision on Friday on how Nichols will be punished. In another sixth-floor courtroom that has been the base for reporters covering the trial Christmas music played softly.
