” What the group may lack in true musical talent and innovativeness they make up for in sheer attitude and fun with songs such as “Die Motherf*cker Die” and “Everything Sucks. ” The music is a bit juvenile but their heavy metal cover of 80’s hit “You Spin Me Right Round (Like A Record)” is a guaranteed crowd pleaser and frontman Dope Edsel always has something amusing to share with the audience. Black Label Society and their opening acts are not household names radio favorites or getting MTV airplay. But any true metal fan knows that Zakk Wylde and his band are the genuine heavyweight leaders in the world of hard rock and Hammerstein Ballroom is sure to be packed with the Black Label faithful come April 10th. And for those who may find that date inconvenient the tour will be playing at the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville NJ three days earlier on April 7th. While Starland is a genuine hassle to get to from New York City by car and nigh inaccessible by public transportation Sayreville is only a handful of Turnpike exits from Zakk Wylde’s birthplace of Bayone NJ and this hometown show will likely feature some surprises from northern New Jersey’s most badass musical legend.
