The album will be entitled “As Guilt Becomes Regret”. The disc will contain two demos from 2001 & 2002 plus rare bonus tracks and a live video CD-Rom segment. These demos gained them considerable attention in the underground music scene leading to several tours and landing them with recording contracts from several prospective labels. The two additional tracks found on this release are alternative studio takes never before released. The CDrom video segment was recorded April 12 2003 at Pallette’s uter Banks (Norfolk VA). “As Regret Becomes Guilt” features impressive packaging with a 12 page booklet that was designed by Mark Riddick… The ship date is December 28 2008. Arsis is known for their unique blend of old school shredding heavy metal and modern gut wrenching death metal. A range of influences from Iron Maiden Dio and Alice Cooper to the modern sounds of Carcass At The Gates and Death can be detected. Arsis has since released two full length albums and one EP with Willowtip Records and will soon release another full length on the Nuclear Blast label. This time Iron Maiden came in their every-heavy-metal-fan dream cast including Bruce Dickinson. George Michael Sings "Freedom" for Bulgaria’s Nurses in LibyaA mature and politically engaged George Michael took the stage in Sofia on May 28 in support of the plight of the five Bulgarian nurses jailed in Libya. Widely described as the most impatiently awaited gig of the year in Bulgaria the concert was part of George Michael’s "25 Live" concert tour his first in over fifteen years.

Between the ascent of a locally trained gospel singer by the name of LaKisha Jones on the biggest TV show in America and the rise of Chiodos a bunch of hard-working young guys from Davison the rest of the world is finding out what some of us have known for a long time. With that in mind here are the top music stories of the year from this vantage point:1. Idol-izing: Until Feb. 21 LaKisha Ann Jones was a little known gospel singer from Flint… 9 and hopes to record her first CD by late spring or early summer. Bone-ing Up: Chiodos the Davison quintet that forged its metal-meets-emo-meets-art-rock sound at clubs like Flint Local 432 started the year by performing on the Taste of Chaos tour followed that by recording quickly the followup to its prophetically titled 2005 album “All’s Well That Ends Well” (nearly 200000 sold and counting) played the main stage on this year’s Vans Warped Tour and saw its new album “Bone Palace Ballet” debut at No. The CD should surpass 100000 sales by the time you read this. The group supported that with its first major headlining tour which ended Nov. 30 for an SR hometown and Detroit crowd at Clutch Cargo’s.

For the first time in the Valley nu-metal pioneers Korn took to the stage with several high profile musicians in tow. Touring in support of the “We have a problem tour” which featured Five Finger Death Punch and Hell Yeah the show was well worth the years of wait. Not only were rock fans in the presence of greatness with former Pantera legend Vinnie Paul behind the drums for Hell Yeah but they were also treated to a guest appearance by Joey Jordison of Slipknot on loan to Korn while David Silveria is on hiatus. The opening bands built momentum for Korn who rocked the stage with a classic set.
