This of course is a total shame because your band sucks. While I have no authority other than being a guy who can’t make music himself and has to compensate by talking about music ad nauseum I like to think I know a thing or two. Your shitty band is not going to be any good and here is why:1. No one is actually good at their instruments2. You thought of the band’s name before you even played a chord3. The name you thought of was “Jungle Pussy”4… ?and you think it makes you sound “alternative”16. You also think the phrase “alternative” actually still means something17. You’re a death metal band and you’re not from Germany or Scandinavia18. You call yourselves a rock band but really what you all secretly want to do is cover Jimmy Buffet songs and drink rum to remember how it feels to be happy19. You insist that there is “No dancing!” at your live shows because it distracts from the “serious nature of the musical performance”.

It wasn’t no fuckin’ adventureland no Disney World; it was a metal maze with metal doors and concrete buildings. Just drama everywhere. Always beefing and fighting. It’s not like suburban areas where people don’t get into too many fights. Every day pretty much people are beefin’… If you’re talkin’ about this Hip Hop culture Hip Hop culture right now is a piece of shit. Everything changed. Right now it’s not about lyricism dope music. It was always a music business. But art always had a real big influence and art doesn’t have that influence anymore. It seems like it’s really only business now. With me I got to make the distinction.

Acrassicauda THEY are a band on the run. Acrassicauda which claims to be Baghdad’s only heavy metal band fled to Syria and on to Turkey to avoid the violence in Iraq and specific death threats from insurgent groups but now the four young musicians may be forced to return home. "We’re stuck we’re lost" Marwan at 23 the youngest member of the group said by telephone from Istanbul where he is staying with bandmates Firas Tony and Faisal. He said the musicians were not welcome in Turkey particularly since fighting has escalated between Turkish forces and Kurdish rebels near the Iraqi border but they could not find another country willing to take them in as refugees. "If we ever made it back to Baghdad and we ever made it back to our families where would we rehearse?" said Marwan frustrated at talking about politics and personal troubles rather than tours and tracklists. "If we go back to Baghdad now we’ll just stay at home as prisoners not even go out to buy a packet of cigarettes.
