Also the guys in Panic! at the Disco ignore me throughout the weekend either because they don’t remember me or because they want to kill me. I can’t say I really blame them either way. » Eagles of Death Metal frontman Jesse “The Devil” Hughes probably deserves a spot in the Mustache Hall of Fame and at no point during VMA weekend do I not see him holding a drink. » T-Pain shows me the proper technique for tossing dice (it’s all in the wrist never left-handed) and talks about his inexplicable fear of the Plain White T’s all while sitting behind a drum kit producing a track with Jennifer Hudson and having a speakerphone conversation with E-40 about the evils of playing craps.

Locals nly Local Hero
Cleveland Free Times – Sep 12, 2007
Virtually every thriving music scene has an individual (or handful of individuals) at the heart of it: someone who educates encourages promotes and inspires others. It can be a producer a manager a musician a label head a disc jockey a club owner. ne of Cleveland's most dynamic music scenes ever was its '80s metal scene and the individual who drove it was Bill Peters who celebrates the 25th anniversary of his John Carroll University (WJCU 88. 7 FM) radio show Metal on Metal heard 6:30-9:30 p. Fridays with a concert bash at the Beachland this Saturday featuring Anvil Raven Piledriver Destructor Manimals Soulless and Lick the Blade. Peters' excitement about the local bands rising on the scene at the time led to his formation of Auburn Records in 1984 which attracted international attention to Cleveland metal… ""He was not only playing the music but he was informative about the bands" Andrews says. "He had a well-rounded show. Whether it was '80s power metal or thrash or death metal it came off as being very non-biased. He carried that kind of feeling into the local scene and a lot of musicians listened to him to get information and guidance. 1 FM metal DJ Roger Ganley a long time friend of Peter's concurs. "As far as I'm concerned the Cleveland metal scene is like no other scene in the United States" he says.

The legend of Led Zeppelin

Many say Led Zeppelin invented heavy metal and their sound wafted out of thousands of guitar shops worldwide during the 1970s.
