I eavesdropped on my sister while singing Air Supply songs and all the classic eighties’ hits. I even tried to appreciate the ear-grating rifts of Metallica but that’s as far as I went. I acknowledge that even if you try there are some music genres that would be very difficult to appreciate. So goodbye death metal for me. When I reached high school one of the coolest gadgets that one could possibly possess is the “Walkman. ” What could be cooler that the thought of being able to hear your favorite songs away from the big old Akai stereo or away from the creaky transistor radio? To be able to bring your precious cassette tapes to school and share it with your friends? But of course at that time for economical and practical reasons having a “Walkman” to lug around in school is a no-no. So I had to contend with admiring my classmates’ cool gadgets from a distance.

Grant Bolt told the Court of Queen’s Bench that his friend Jeremy Steinke made some disturbing comments leading up to the April 2006 murders of the Medicine Hat family and after their bodies were found butchered in their home. Steinke has been charged with first-degree murder in each death but it is his girlfriend known only as J. who stands accused of the same offences who is now on trial. He began dressing in dark “goth-like” clothing wearing makeup got several piercings and listened to punk and heavy metal music. Bolt also said his friend got more aggressive and was looking to get into fights. Bolt said he saw Mr.
