The Lifetime Achievement Award went to the 15-year-old band Parikrama. Although Indian rock is a fledgling presence the jury did not have it easy. Said Ehsaan Noorani of the Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy trio and a jury member: “Since the range of sound varied from alternative to death metal it was quite difficult to zero in on the winner… The Lifetime Achievement Award went to the 15-year-old band Parikrama. Although Indian rock is a fledgling presence the jury did not have it easy. Said Ehsaan Noorani of the Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy trio and a jury member: “Since the range of sound varied from alternative to death metal it was quite difficult to zero in on the winner. ” Adding a patina of glamour to the ceremony were designer Rohit Bal and Miss India Neha Kapur who presented the awards.
