By opening the liner notes though there?s a few hints that the record isn?t totally awful. You?ll see that the group?s vocalist is Jesse David whose former gig was fronting Killswitch Engage a similarly overblown yet far more interesting metalcore outfit. So you know you?re at least getting decent vocals although he managed to make over his part-emo croon part-Swedish-death-metal growl into a soulful throwback to ?70s cock rock. You?ll also see that only two of the band?s four members sport poorly-sculpted facial hair which is probably better than all of them rocking Backstreet Boy goatees. Lastly you?ll see David in a Beastie Boys shirt which may lead you to believe that the album actually features rapping. So when you throw this fetid turd of a Sabbath-meets-Staind ripoff on you?ll be pleasantly surprised to learn that it doesn?t.
